Summer Walker: Life On Earth
Atlanta siren, Summer Walker has dropped her Life On Earth EP today and we’re not mad at it! The 5 track project focuses on love and the lack thereof with features from NO1-NOAH & PARTYNEXTDOOR. Summer is quietly leading the R&B music industry and rightfully so.
Self proclaimed underdog, Summer, is taking an almost Sci-fi approach to this project. From the marketing to the production of the records, Life On Earth is distinctly Summer and a sound of her own. Each track has it's own unique feel but a favorite would definitely be Deeper.
“‘Deeper’ was actually made around the same time we made ‘Playing Games’ last year. It’s a song that talks about how to go deeper in love. In this scenario, say there’s a certain someone that you have fallen for and you all in but it don’t feel like y’all on the same page—you keep your heart open and believe all the sweet talk and promises they make. Over time, you get them to understand that it’s deeper than just saying you will do something—they actually gotta put forth real effort and keep their word.”
