In this safe and supportive space, you’ll have an opportunity to connect with your body and truest Self in community. Move through gentle Hatha and soothing yin postures in a 75-minute class that’s designed for beginners and experienced practitioners alike — no prior yoga experience necessary.

Alex is a yoga instructor, social worker, and a mama of fur baby, Sadie. Alex began practicing yoga in 2010 for the grounding and centering aspects it offered. After practicing regularly, she noticed her mind would chatter less, she held less tension in her body and approached difficult situations with a greater sense of calm and adaptability. Alex teaches trauma-informed classes that are inclusive to all ethnic identities, gender identities, sexual identities, religious affiliations, body types, age and experience levels. Seeing the benefits that yoga has brought to her life, she believes that the time we spend on our mats is a sacred time; time to ground, center and become more in touch in our inner wisdom and true selves.

Mindful Movement (Virtual Experience)

Mindful Movement (Virtual Experience)

Join us for a Virtual version of our "Mindful Movement" class!

These days the world seems so unsettled and things are moving rapidly. We would love to offer a chance to SLOW DOWN, Reconnect and create a sense of community even though we cannot meet in person.
Dr. Matt of the Center of Movement and Lacey of Sacred Vibes Healing joined forces to bring you this virtual experience that you can do from the comfort of your own home. This class will combine a mindfullness meditation with an anchoring postural movement flow, along with soothing (distance) Reiki energy healing!

Lacey Cline, Licensed Acupuncturist/Herbalist/Reiki Master and Owner of Sacred Vibes Healing, will lead the group through a grounding meditation and relaxation body scan at the beginning and end of the movement series while offering distance Reiki energy healing to assist in grounding.

Dr. Matt Wiest, Doctor of Chiropractic, Movement Specialist, and Owner of The Center of Movement, will guide the group through a mindful postural movement flow based on the fundamentals of Foundation Training. Foundation Training is a primal movement system which creates universal strength by using muscles that are less active in modern, convenient habits and postures like sitting, driving, use of devices, and work environments. This system will heighten body awareness, focus on core control and supplement everything you do from yoga, to Crossfit, from gardening, to sitting at your desk.
This class is great for anyone wanting to create deeper connection to their body, those who are seeking stress management solutions and for a grounding and soothing full-body experience! This class is great for every fitness level from beginner to high-performance athlete!

Instructions: Please wear loose, comfortable clothing. You will need a yoga mat and a water bottle and access to a computer or mobile device. Once you have signed up, we will email you with the link to attend the class via Zoom at 7pm on Thursday, March 26th.

This is a donation-based class (pay what you wish-suggested $10 exchange). We understand that many people are in a place of financial hardship and uncertainty at this time and may be without income due to a loss of work. We are also in a service-based industry and we empathize with you and want to offer this class free of charge to anyone who finds themselves out of work due to the current Pandemic.

We look forward to moving with you, grounding with you and calming our nervous systems as we come together with love. We thank you for being a part of our community and sharing in this experience with us.
