Future Generations

Future Generations

Indie-pop band Future Generations brought forth a sea of hipsters on Saturday night to Downtown Minneapolis’ 7th Street Entry. In promotion of their latest album, Landscape, Future Generations is touring the country with Magic City Hippies & Culture Piece was sure to be present!

Of the album’s title, Gore (vocals) notes it “came from ending the first significant relationship of my life. And with the band’s move to Brooklyn, we were all put into this world we’d never experienced—living on our own and navigating the landscape of being in New York City.

The energy in the room was infectious! To be honest, I didn’t know too much of the band’s music beforehand but I’m definitely a fan now. Something about indie music is so ethereal-like to me and seeing a show live makes it all that more magical. Energy so strong, I could actually see it.

The connection between all of the members is evident in both their stage presence and their music, which makes sense considering the 5 have been friends for over seven years.

The Brooklyn based band played hits from Landscape including my new favorite, All The Same.

Take a listen to Landscape here & check them out when they come to your city!
